Our Summit Ambassadors (OSA) is a group of engaged individuals from different Summit County communities. OSA will meet regularly throughout the process to discuss, collaborate, and provide guidance on the Community Visioning Plan. You may see these members out in the community gathering feedback from you!

Eric Esquivel has been a Snyderville Basin resident since 2013. He has been married for 25 years and has four children, ages 24, 21, 19, and 17. When not working, he enjoys family time outdoors. He currently works with the Park City School District as the Director of Family and Community Engagement. Eric is currently the chair for the Summit County Latin Mental Health Committee, and is also involved with other community organizations such as Early Childhood Alliance and Park City Unidos. Prior to moving to Summit County, he served 31 years in the fire service in Southern California where he moved up the ranks to reach the position of Division Chief with the San Bernardino City Fire Department. He oversaw the fire prevention bureau, 9-1-1 emergency call center, emergency operations center, airport operations, mutual aid agreements and numerous other administrative details. Additional contributions in the fire service were serving as a team member of a U.S. Fire Service Advisors to assist the Spanish Government establish a comprehensive federal wildland fire suppression program, as well as teaching fire officers from Mexico and Central America on current and best practices. Domestically, he was Vice President of the San Bernardino Regional Training Center where students came from most western states and as far as Europe. Eric earned a BA in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University, along with an AA in Fire Science from San Bernardino Valley College.
| Pamella Bello is from Uruguay, has been in the States for 26 years, and has lived in Park City for 20 years. As the Director of Behavioral Health Prevention for Summit County for the past 14 years, she has coordinated prevention efforts to improve the quality of life in this community. She is a Licensed Prevention Specialist through IC&RC/AODA and is trained in the Universal Prevention Curriculum. Her nine and six-year-old daughters attend Park City schools; our town is lucky to have excellent schools. Living in the beautiful mountains of Summit County enables her to enjoy the outdoors in many ways. | I’m a Husband, Father, and soon to be Grandfather. I own a Mortgage company and an Insurance company based in Summit County. I’ve owned a home in Summit County since 1988 and spent a lot of time hiking, fishing and riding ATVs in Summit County. I Love the outdoors and spending time with my family, I’ve lived in Utah my whole life, and love all 4 seasons along with the different landscapes and environments Utah has to offer. Everything from the mountains to the desert. There is no better place to live and raise a family. | Thomas Cooke is a longtime resident of Summit County, moving to Park City in 1993 after finishing graduate school in Boston, and moving west to chase the snow. He has lived in the Silver Summit neighborhood of the Snyderville Basin since 2001 along with his wife Teresa, and daughter Carina.
Thomas currently works for the nonprofit Bicycle Collective, whose mission is to promote cycling as an effective and sustainable form of transportation and recreation, and a cornerstone of a cleaner, healthier, and safer society. We provide refurbished bicycles and educational programs to the community focusing on children and lower income households. Bicycle Collective operates community bicycle shops in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, and St. George, and perhaps someday soon they will have one in Summit County.
Thomas is currently serving his 7th year on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission, and has previously served as Chair and Vice Chair. Thomas also serves on the governing board of Winter Sports School, and coaches Nordic skiing for Park City Ski and Snowboard Club. |

Hi! My name is Alaina King and I am a Junior in High School from Summit County. I love to swim, play violin, and read. I love Summit County because it is such a nice escape from the hassle of the city, and it is a great community to raise a family. I think it is important to preserve the country feel of Summit County, so that the next generation can start their families in the same community that they were raised in. | A native of Minnesota, I moved to Park City in 1981, and have been an Old Town resident since 1986. I've never had that wheelbarrow full of money, but I managed to move here when the working class could still buy a home in Park City. I was involved in EMS and trauma nursing, and managed the Park City Ambulance Service for a dozen years back in the 1980s and 90s. I've been retired now for as many years, and and heavily involved with the Park City Seniors, the local Elks lodge, and many other volunteer local organizations. | Jarett Schumann is a junior at North Summit High School, and an Our Summit Student Ambassador. He is the Vice President of Public Relations for North Summit FBLA and a member of the National Honors Society. He enjoys going on runs in the fresh mountain air for cross country and track practices. He loves the unique dynamic of Summit County and hopes it stays this way for years to come. | Doug and his wife Diane live near the Weber River in Oakley, Utah, a pastoral mountain valley where they grew their family. He and his wife often campaign for river water quality issues as well as trail and educational opportunities for the youth of Kamas Valley. Doug is a retired water and energy sustainability director of Mountain Regional Water District, a large water supplier in western Summit County. Under the direction of the County Council, He was one of the founders of that water district. Doug has spent his life in the environmental science industry, focusing primarily on water resource protection, efficiency, and sustainability. He has served in many public positions, including on the Oakley City Council and as Mayor. Doug also served on the Summit County Board of Health, specializing in improving environmental health through clean water and wastewater service. As an Oakley City Planning Commission member, he has helped re-write the City's General Plan and Maps, the Development Codes, and the current Zoning maps. He also serves as a South Summit Trails Foundation board member, believing that access to the outdoors is a lasting and effective treatment for mental health issues. As an avid hiker, biker, explorer, and naturalist, Doug has spent much of his life writing poetry and essays on water, particularly regarding the vital protection of our living lakes and rivers. |
