6th to 12th Grade Questionnaire

In order to make sure that the wishes of the community are considered in decisions, local governments make long-term plans.  You may have heard of things like Transportation plans or General Plans or Master Plans that describe what specific areas should look like and feel like.   All of these specific plans begin with something much larger – a community visioning plan.  Just like the Preamble sets the stage for the rest of the Constitution, or a summary gives the big picture of a story, a vision plan describes the big goals and values most important to the community.  

Summit County, which is the name of the larger geographic area in which you live, is in the process of creating a Vision Plan.  Because we want the plan to be representative of the people who will be most impacted by it, we want input from each and every one of you.  What do you want your community to be like in the future?  What are things you LOVE that you want to save and what are some things that could be even better?  

This is a big responsibility and awesome opportunity to make a difference in this community! Please take this opportunity seriously.
